Walking Tour of Dublin

National Gallery of Ireland
A visit to Ireland’s largest art gallery, includes a collection of over 2,500 paintings and
more than 10,000 works of art.

Old Jameson Distillery
A visit to the home of Ireland’s best loved and most famous whiskeys – includes a video, guided tour and tasting session!

March 23rd
Howth Village & Cliff Walk
A visit to the scenic seaside town and a walk around the cliffs with beautiful views of Dublin Bay. Cost: Free (Meet in Room 7 at 12.15, walking shoes are advised)
March 30th
Dalkey Castle & Village
A visit to Dalkey Castle, situated in the beautiful seaside village which is home to Bono and many other Irish celebrities.

April 6th
Liffey Cruise
Journey by boat through the heart of Dublin, tour lasts for approximately 1 hour.

April 13th
The Chester Beatty Library
The library contains 22,000 manuscripts, rare books and paintings from Western and Eastern Culture. Cost: Free (Meet in Room 7 at 12.15)
April 20th
Guinness Storehouse
Visit the home of Ireland’s most famous beer. After the tour you can enjoy a pint in the Guinness bar.

April 27th
Kilmainham Gaol
The only unoccupied jail in Ireland, includes a video, guided tour and visit to the prison museum

Pub Night
Every Thursday night in March & April.
Meet: 9.30, Gibneys Pub Malahide (video bar at the back of Gibneys).
A great way for new and old students to meet and have a few pints.
Full Day Excursions
March 27th
Belfast
Coach trip to Belfast, explore the historical capital of Northern Ireland.
Cost: €15.00
Meet: Outside the school, 8.00am (trip subject to sufficient numbers, confirm at the office Friday before trip)
April 24th
Glendalough
Coach trip to Glendalough in the Wicklow Mountains, take a walk around the scenic lakes and valley’s and explore the ruins of the 6th Century Monastery.
Cost: €15.00

Conversational Classes
Spend an hour discussing the news of the day, an excellent way to practice your conversational skills and build your vocabulary.
